The Republic of Moldova will now also have an embassy in India. It was officially opened in the capital New Delhi in the presence of Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mihai Popsoi and his Indian counterpart Subrahmanyam Jaishankar.
According to the dignitaries present at the inauguration of the new embassy, the opportunities for Moldovan-Indian cooperation in the economic, cultural and diplomatic spheres will increase.
"This is an important step to strengthen the strategic dialog and develop joint and mutually beneficial projects", said Mihai Popsoi.
"This moment reflects the joint commitment that we have strengthened since the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1992. What defines this collaboration is mutual support at the international level and reliable bilateral relations", Subrahmanyam Jaishankar added.
Moldova's Ambassador to India, Ana Taban, spoke of a new diplomatic chapter and the importance of promoting the interests of the citizens of both countries.
