Moldova must have a clear and predictable chance of joining the European Union, if it shows development capacities, the Speaker of the National Assembly of Hungary László Kövér said in a meeting with Head of Parliament Andrian Candu, IPN reports.

The Hungarian official stated that a delegation of the foreign affairs committee of the National Assembly of Hungary by this yearend will visit Moldova for a transfer of good parliamentary practices in the area of European integration.

For his part, Andrian Candu said the visit will give a new impetus to the Moldovan-Hungarian interparliamentary cooperation. The strategic partnership of cooperation between the Parliament of Moldova and the National Assembly of Hungary was established by an agreement signed in 2012 and by intense relations at the level of parliamentary commissions.

László Kövér is paying a visit to the Republic of Moldova on September 20-22. On September 22, the Hungarian official will make a visit to the Autonomous Territorial Unit of Gagauzia.
