Moldova may receive more gas from Gazprom
The misunderstandings between SA Moldovagaz and thermoelectric companies seem to be over. In a communiqué, Moldovagaz announces that Russia’s gas giant Gazprom accepted the company’s request to increase the volume of gas for October supplied to Moldova, Info-Prim Neo reports.
“Thus, all the companies working in the thermoelectric sector will receive the necessary volumes of gas and they will function unfailingly,” it is said in the communiqué.
The dispute arouse after the director of SA Termocom Mihai Cernei said Monday that he was pressed by Moldovagaz and CET-1 not to use natural gas anymore as the limit for October was exceeded. “Termocom is not guilty that the heating season started earlier owing to the low temperatures,” he stated. In reply, the gas public utility Moldovagaz issued a statement, saying Termocom's requests to increase the volume of supplied gas are groundless as the temperatures now are relatively high.
In the communiqué issued today, Moldovagaz warns the thermoelectric companies about the necessity of more exactly planning the volumes of gas needed in the subsequent periods so as not to use more gas than planned and hamper the transportation of natural gas via Moldova.
