The Republic of Moldova celebrates EU Green Week 2022 that takes place from 30 May to 5 June 2022. EU Green Week is an annual opportunity to debate European environmental policy with policymakers, leading environmentalists, and stakeholders from Europe and beyond. This year’s edition focuses on the European Green Deal – the EU’s sustainable and transformative growth strategy for a resource-efficient and climate-neutral Europe by 2050, IPN reports, with reference to the Ministry of Agriculture and the EU Delegation to Moldova.
Throughout the week, partner events will be taking place across Europe and beyond. Three important aspects of green transformation in times of crisis – circular economy, zero pollution, and biodiversity, will be in the spotlight of the current edition of the EU Green Week.
As part of the EU4Environment: Green Economy in Eastern Partnership Countries project that forms part of #EUgreenweek2022, a regional webinar will be held on June 1, between 2pm and 3:30pm, to take stock of the results and challenges in the implementation of the measures to conserve biodiversity and ecosystems. Those who want to take part in discussions can register on the ZOOM platform. Those interested can visit the official website of the EU4Environment project.
The EU4Environment project on June 3 stages a high-level event entitled “Towards Green Transformation of the Republic of Moldova”.
EU Green Week 2022 in the Republic of Moldova is organized by the Ministry of Environment in partnership with Europe Cafѐ and the Delegation of the European Union to the Republic of Moldova.
