Roberto Bordin, manager of Moldova’s national football team, has announced the broad lineup to be convoked for the 2022 World Cup qualifiers against Austria, Scotland and the Faroe Islands in September.
The lineup is the following: Stanislav Namașco (Keshla, Azerbaijan), Dumitru Celeadnic (Sheriff Tiraspol), Cristian Avram (FC Buzău, Romania), Iulian-Sebastian Agachi (CSF Bălți) – for the position of goalkeepers; Igor Armaș (Voluntari, Romania), Oleg Reabciuk (Olimpiacos, Greece), Veaceslav Posmac (Tuzlaspor, Turkey), Daniel Dumbrăvanu (Lucchese, Italy), Denis Marandici (NK Celje, Slovenia), Vadim Bolohan (Milsami Orhei), Alexandru Belousov (Sheriff Tiraspol), Ion Jardan, Maxim Potîrniche, Ioan-Călin Revenco (all three from Petrocub Hîncești) – for defenders; Artur Ioniță (Benevento, Italy), Vadim Rață (Voluntari, Romania), Cristian Dros (Spartak, Latvia), Sergiu Platica, Victor Bogaciuc, Cornel Cotogoi (all three from Petrocub Hîncești) – for midfielders; Ion Nicolaescu (Dunajská Streda, Slovakia), Vitalie Damașcan (Sepsi OSK Sf. The first game, which will be against Austria, will take place in Chisinau on September 1. Moldova are currently placed last, with a single point.
