The national football team of Moldova was defeated 1-3 by the similar squad of Sweden in the friendly match played at Solna’s Friends Arena in. The goals were scored by Jesper Karlsson (9, 74), Gustav Lagerbielke (18), and Ion Nicolaescu (39), IPN reports.
Moldova manager Sergiu Kleshchenko used the following players: Railean, Ryabchuk, Marandici, Posmac, Crăciun, Revenco (S.Plătica 81), Rață (M.Plătica 57), Baboglo (Bogaciuc 81), Moțpan (S.Cojocari 57), Cojocaru (Postolachi 57), Nicolaescu (Damașcan 64). Seven of the 17 Moldovan players got by a yellow card. In the 87th minute, Artur Crăciun was shown the second yellow card and was sent off.
On Sunday, Moldova meets Poland in Warsaw for a qualifier of the UEFE Euro 2024 qualifying tournament. The encounter starts at 9:45pm.
