The national futsal team of Moldova was beaten by the double champion of Spain in the last match of Group 1 of the 2024 FIFA Futsal World Cup qualifying competition, IPN reports.

Pablo Ramirez was the hero of the match played in Ciorescu commune of Chisinau municipality with three goals scored. Raul Jimenez also scored a goal.

Spain, with 12 points, became the winner of the group and qualified for the elite stage. Moldova ranked second with six points, while Cyprus ranked third with no point. Moldova failed to qualify for the elite stage from the second place and will this way compete in the playoffs in April.
