The national football team of Mildova found out its potential opponents in the next edition of the UEFA Nations League. If Moldova remains in League C, it will play in a group with Slovakian, Belarus, and Azerbaijan. If it is relegated to League D, the team trained by Sergiu Kleshchenko will play against the national squads of Liechtenstein, Andorra, and Latvia, IPN reports.

On March 24 and 29, Moldova meets Kazakhstan at exhibition matches. The winner will remain in League C, while the other team will be relegated to League D. ”We must do our best to remain in League C. To my mind, the rivals there are weaker than those of the previous edition of the competition. Slovakia seems to be the favorite, while Belarus and Azerbaijan had been our opoonents and we achieved good results in the encounters with these. If we want to grow, we must play against stronger opponents,” said Sergiu Kleshchenko.

The matches of the new edition of the UEFA Nations League will be played in June-September 2022.
