Moldova, Israel will mutually recognize driver’s licenses

The Cabinet approved the agreement with the Government of Israel on the procedures for converting driver’s licenses. Igor Trofimov, secretary of state of the Ministry of Home Affairs, said that this document forms part of the efforts made by the Government to facilitate road traffic for Moldovans who are abroad, IPN reports.

“The signing of this agreement is not only an occasion for confirming the friendship relations between the governments of the signatory states, but is also a method to offer real benefits to the citizens of the two countries,” stated Igor Trofimov.

Moldova signed bilateral agreements on the conversion of driver’s licenses with five states, namely Romania, Italy, Lithuania, Germany, and Turkey.
