The Liberal Democratic Party (PLDM) considers the Republic of Moldova is witnessing an unprecedented political, health, economic and social crisis. The country’s citizens became hostage to a virulent fight for power for the sake of the own comfort, not for serving the people’s interests. In a press release, the party says it could mount protests if the parliamentary majority announced by the PSRM and the Shor Party governs the country, IPN reports.
The PLDM warns the current parliamentary parties that a cartel government for further promoting the oligarchic interests of Dodon, Shor and Plahotniuc, the lack of a government that is so necessary to the people and the upcoming uncontrolled electoral processes should be assumed responsibly. “We consider a government that includes Shor cannot bring benefits to the citizens of the Republic of Moldova, regardless of the name of the person who is proposed for Prime Minister. The practice of forming coalitions with the aim of maintaining personal or group interests should be ended,” said the PLDM.
The party calls on President Maia Sandu to obey the Constitution and other laws and to show responsibility in the identification of a candidate for Prime Minister, who would cope with the current crises.
The PLDM calls also upon the Moldovan citizens to be prudent and not to allow to be misled by “the insincere care of the coalition formed in Parliament” and not to blindly believe the populist promises of those who cannot ensure efficient governance.
The members of the PLDM consider a sincere dialogue between the pro-European forces and society should be held so as to overcome this unprecedented situation and to relaunch the European course.
