Moldova has two members on new Civil Society Forum Steering Committee

Seventeen members, including two Moldovans, were selected to work on the new Steering Committee of the Eastern Partnership Civil Society Forum in a meeting in Poland, Info-Prim Neo reports. In the group of the six facilitators, which includes by a representative of the six partner countries, Moldova is represented by Victor Codruta, executive director of the Regional Environmental Center Moldova. Eight members were chosen to the coordinating working groups, Moldova being represented by Eduard Mihalas, chairman of the National Youth Council of Moldova. In a plenary session of the forum, the EU representatives – Krzysztof Bobinski, on behalf of the Polish Unia Foundation, Jeff Lovitt, on behalf of the Policy Association for Open Society, and Amanda Lovkvist, on behalf of the European Network of Political Foundations – were unanimously elected as coordinators. The Steering Committee is chosen for a year. Its role is to initiate and coordinate the projects and activities of civil society at national and international levels. The Eastern Partnership Civil Society Forum was held in Poland on November 28-30.
