Moldova has ratified IRENA Statute
The Republic of Moldova will join the 149 countries that signed the Statute of the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA). The bill on the ratification of the IRENA Statute was passed by Parliament on February 24, Info-Prim Neo reports.
IRENA will promote the widespread and increased adoption and sustainable use of all forms of renewable energy. Acting as the global voice for renewable energies, IRENA will facilitate access to all relevant renewable energy information, including technical data. IRENA will share experiences on best practices and lessons learned regarding policy frameworks, capacity-building projects, available finance mechanisms and renewable energy related energy efficiency measures.
The Agency’s budget consists of membership dues, voluntary dues and other possible sources. The dues for Moldova are US$348 per annum.
