The number of cases of COVID-19 in Moldova rose to 235,087. Of the 3,996 infected persons who are now hospitalized, 319 are in a very serious state, IPN reports, quoting data made public by the Ministry of Health in the evening of April 4.
According to the Ministry, 44 persons succumbed to COVID-19 on April 4. The youngest victim was a woman aged 39 from Rezina district. Thirteen of the victims were from Chisinau, while two from Bălți. The death toll now stands at 5,136.
A state of emergency was declared in Moldova for the period between April 1 and May 30. In this connection, the National Commission for Emergency Situations instituted a special movement regime for the inhabitants of Bălți and Chisinau. In both of the municipalities, the residents cannot leave homes between 11pm and 5am.
