Stefan Fule, European Commissioner for Enlargement and Neighborhood Policy, praised Moldova’s progress in the reform promotion and reassured Moldova of the European Commission’s support in strengthening the rule of law and bringing Moldova to European standards, as part of Moldova’s major goal of European integration. The statement was made during a meeting with Premier Vlad Filat in Batumi, Georgia. In a communiqué from the Moldovan Government it was said the parties exchanged opinions on Moldo-EU relations and noted Moldova's recent progress in implementing the European agenda, as well as our country’s advancement prospects. The Prime Minister expressed his gratitude towards the European Commission, and thanked Commissioner Stefan Fule, in particular, for his attitude towards Moldova. The PM assured that Moldova’s European integration process is irreversible, and expressed his desire to accomplish this objective as soon as possible, so that the citizens can fully benefit from the European values.
