The novel coronavirus claimed 13 more deaths in Moldova, taking the death toll to 1,630. The infection on October 20 was confirmed in 833 persons after doing almost 4,000 tests, IPN quoted officials of the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection as saying in a news conference.
As many as 68,700 persons have been diagnosed with COVID-19 in Moldova since the start of the pandemic. About 17,400 infections are active cases.
Vasile Guștiuc, acting director of the National Public Health Agency, said that deviations from the pandemic regime were identified at 23 institutions of the 167 inspected. There were compiled 12 administrative offense reports and issued 16 sanitary prescriptions. One facility was closed.
