Moldova handball team scores clear victory at Challenge Trophy
The Moldovan handball team demolished Armenia, 46-15, in the first qualifier of the European “Challenge Trophy” Championship on Friday, in the Chisinau-based Sports Venue Olimpus, Info-Prim Neo reports.
Moldova looked dominant throughout the encounter and were leading with 15 goals already after the first half. The Tricolors didn't stop in the second half either, more than doubling their lead. The best scorer of the host team was Alexandru Pervanciuc, who found the target 10 times.
Moldova's squad included Alexandru Pervanciuc, Lollo, Juravliov, Lucaşov, Butenko, Neniţă, Cobzev, Alexei Pervanciuc, Ursuleac, Staricov, Petricheev, Potapchin, Timuş, Vacaruc.
In the second match of the group, Georgia defeated Azerbaijan, 41-23.
The next round will be held on Saturday, October 31, when Armenia will play Georgia, and Azerbaijan will meet Moldova.
