Moldova futsal team suffers defeat from Serbia

Moldova's national futsal team on Thursday started its 2012 World Cup qualifying campaign with a categorical 4-0 defeat against Serbia, Info-Prim Neo reports. Serbia baffled Moldova with three goals in the first 10 minutes, scored by Slobodan Janjic, Vladimir Milosavac and Slobodan Rajcevic, and despite some efforts by Moldova to recover later in the game, Vidan Bojovic scored a fourth goal to remove any doubts about the outcome. This result propelled Serbia to the top of qualifying group 3. Slovenia are now second after defeating Israel 3-2, and Moldova are currently at the bottom. On Friday Moldova will play the hosts of the qualifying tournament, Slovenia, as Serbia will encounter Israel. Only the first two teams in the group will advance to the next stage.
