Moldova fails to qualify for 2019 European Volleyball Championship

The national volleyball team of Moldova failed to qualify for the 2019 Men’s European Volleyball Championship. Moldova lost away the last match of group C to Montenegro 0-3, IPN reports.

Moldova was beaten by 18-25, 21-25 and 13-25 and finished third. Slovakia emerged victorious in the group and qualified alongside Montenegro. Iceland ranked last with no point.

In the current qualifying round, the team trained by Artur Romașcan beat Iceland twice and won at home against Montenegro.
