Moldova-EU Cooperation Council meets in Brussels
The 14th reunion of the Moldova-EU Cooperation Council will take place today, June 26, in Brussels. The participants will talk about the domains of cooperation between the two sides, Info-Prim Neo reports.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, Moldova will be represented by a delegation that includes Deputy Prime Ministers Iurie Leanca, Eugen Carpov, Valeriu Lazar and Mihai Moldovanu, Minister of Justice Oleg Efrim and Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry Vasile Bumacov, and will be headed by Prime Minister Vlad Filat.
The participants on behalf of the European Union will be the European Commissioner for Enlargement and European Neighborhood Policy Stefan Fule and representatives of Denmark, which holds leadership of the Council of the European Union until June 30, 2012.
The meeting is scheduled for the first half of the day. The agenda includes all the possible cooperation domains- political dialogue, economic aspects, justice and interior, sectorial cooperation domains and contacts between people. The settling of the Transnistrian conflict will be discussed in an informal format.
The Moldova-EU Cooperation Council meets once a year.
