Moldova enables foreigners to get vaccinated

The foreign citizens can also get a vaccine against COVID-19 in Moldova, with the available Moderna (Spikevax) vaccine doses. The Ministry of Health said the foreigners can get vaccinated at national vaccination centers by presenting the IDs only, IPN reports.

“The Ministry of Health, abiding by the principle of solidarity with other states in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic and after receiving requests from foreign citizens who are in the Republic of Moldova on a visit, offers these the possibility of getting vaccinated with doses donated to our country through the COVAX Facility,” says a press release.

The personal data of foreigners will be included in the Automated Information System “COVID-19 Vaccination Register” so that the persons will be able to download the certificate from the platform vaccinare.gov.md.

In the Republic of Moldova, the Moderna (Spikevax) vaccine is administered to individuals 18 years and over in two doses at an interval of 28 days from each other.

As many as 1 982 562 vaccine doses have been administered in Moldova so far.
