Moldova, Ecuador establish diplomatic relations
The Republic of Moldova and the Republic of Ecuador have established diplomatic relations. Moldova’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Ambassador Alexandru Cujba and his Ecuadorian counterpart, Ambassador Diego Morejon Pazmino signed a protocol in this respect, Info-Prim Neo reports.
According to a communiqué from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, the two diplomats expressed their governments’ readiness to promote mutual understanding and strengthen friendship and cooperation based on the principles of the Charter of the United Nations and international law, in particular as regards equality between the states, the respect for their sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity.
The two officials conferred on the history, culture, socioeconomic situation, the national and foreign policies of the two countries and the prospects of cooperating at multiple levels.
