Moldova dropped 6 spots in FIFA ranking
The Moldovan national football team dropped six spots in the World FIFA Rankings for this month, which was published on Wednesday, November 17, Info-Prim Neo reports.
The Tricolors lost 19 points from last month and now are occupying the 84th place. Their position could decline even more because the team coached by Gabi Balint won't play any more games in 2010, as the Moldovan Football Federation failed to agree on friendly matches with Armenia and Yemen.
Moldova's group rivals in the Euro 2012 qualifying stage rank as follows: Netherlands – 2nd, Sweden – 35th, Hungary – 43rd, Finland – 87th, and San Marino – 203rd. The latter two teams will meet on November 17 for a last Euro 2012 qualifying match this year, as the others will play friendlies.
Spain continue to lead the rankings, followed by the Netherlands, Brazil, Germany and Argentina.
