The friendly match between the national football teams of Qatar and Moldova played in Doha ended by 1-1. The Asian team opened the score in the 3rd minute already, through Sebastian Soria, but Moldova’s Andrei Cojocari tied in the 24th minute after catching a superb kick from outside the field, IPN reports.
Three players made their debut for Moldova in this match: Dinu Graur, Sergiu Platica, and Artiom Zabun. After a long pause, fullback Igor Andronic returned to the national team.
“The players made effort and this is important. It was seen that they returned recently from vacation. Maybe we deserved victory,” Moldova coach Igor Dobrovolski told a news conference.
Moldova plays a new friendly away, against San Marino, on March 20.
