The national football team of Moldova staged a spectacular recovery in the match against the similar squad of Belarus within the qualifying competition of the 2019 UEFA European Under-21 Championship, IPN reports.
Moldova was led by 0-2 after the goals scored by Ebong (23rd minute) and Shevchenko (34), but had the power to draw through Yevgeny Oancea (56) and Vitalie Damașcan (75).
“I’m satisfied with the game of our team. They managed to recover after the score was 0-2. We thank them for their dedication,” second coach of the national Under-21 team of Moldovan Vitalie Culibaba told a news conference.
The team trained by Sergiu Cleshchenko will play the next game on September 10 against San Marino, also in Orhei. Moldova is last but one in the rankings with four points after eight matches played.
