Moldova donates 260,000 lei more to Japan

Japan will receive about 260,000 lei for quake cleanup from Moldovan companies involved in the Support to and Development of Small and Medium-Sized Companies Program, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a communiqué from the Ministry of Economy. “The created situation obliges us to provide support to the victims and show our humanity by charity,” said representatives of the companies that collected the money. As many as 124 companies took part in the contest held by the Ministry of Economy within the program in 2010. Thirty of them received financing to the value of 48 million lei. Financing for purchasing equipment in leasing was provided to 123 companies from a grant of 1.3 billion yens and from the Grants’ Partner Fund of 80.5 million lei in 2005-2010. The companies were supplied with equipment for making clothes, breeding swine, processing grain and milk, working wood and other purposes to the value of 173 million lei. Donations can be made in continuation to the Unit for Implementing the Japanese Government’s Grant.
