Moldova, Czech Republic sign agreement in fiscal area

The Moldovan Ministry of Finance and its Czech counterpart agency signed a cooperation agreement. Nicolae Platon, head of the State Fiscal Inspectorate, who signed the agreement on Moldova’s side, said that the document stipulated experience exchange in the areas of fiscal authority management and organization, implementation of information technologies and improvement of relations with tax-payers, Info-Prim Neo reports. Jan Knizek, head of the Czech General Financial Directorate, expressed his availability to help his Moldovan colleagues in adjusting the fiscal legislation to European standards. He promised to share the best practices of fighting and preventing tax evasion, as the Czech Republic has vast experience in fighting missing trader frauds. Consultancy will be offered in various fields related to the activity of the fiscal authority. The Moldovan State Fiscal Inspectorate has been cooperating with the Czech General Financial Directorate since 2003, and the signing of the agreement takes the collaboration to a new level.
