Moldova counts on European Commission's support in obtaining new road map for visas in autumn, PM Vlad Filat

Prime Minister Vlad Fialt during his visit to Brussels said Moldova counts on the European Commission's support in obtaining a new road map on the liberalization of the visa regime in autumn, Info-Prim Neo has learned from the Government's press service. Vlad Filat thanked the European Commission and Commissioner Stefan Fule for the continuous support offered to Moldova in the European integration process. “We are pleased with the results of the third round of talks that took place in Chisinau on June 7 and 8. We are confident we will maintain the pace at the next rounds as well,” Vlad Filat said. The Premier stressed that Moldova does not wait to be told what it should do as the authorities pursue the set goals and all the reforms serve the interests of Moldova first of all. European Commissioner for Enlargement and European Neighborhood Policy Stefan Fule said the EU will further back Moldova in its efforts to come closer to the EU. He stated effort will be made to hasten the allocation of the micro-finance assistance promised to Moldova. As to the liberalization of the visa regime, the Commissioner said European experts will come to Moldova on a fact-finding mission in September. The road map for Moldova will be prepared afterward. Stefan Fule also said that in September the EU will presents its recommendations for Moldova over the talks on the deep and comprehensive free trade agreement.
