Moldova could sign Association Agreement with EU by this yearend
Moldova may sign the Association Agreement with the European Union by the end of this year, Head of Parliament Mihai Ghimpu announced Wednesday on his return from Brussels. He paid a visit to Brussels on the invitation of the European Parliament President Jerzy Buzek, Info-Prim Neo reports.
“Everything depends on us. If we built Europe at home, we will not remain outside the EU,” the Speaker said.
Ghimpu and Buzek discussed the liberalization of the movement of the Moldovan citizens in the EU and the financial assistance that will be provided to Moldova immediately after the agreement with the International Monetary Fund is signed.
Speaking about the Eastern Partnership, Mihai Ghimpu said that Moldova wants to join the Eastern Balkans package. Therefore, the reforms implemented at home are very important.
