Prime Minister Vlad Filat received congratulatory messages with the occasion of Moldova’s Independence Day from Government chiefs from Ukraine, Poland, Slovenia, reports Info-Prim Neo quoting a communique from the Government. Another congratulatory message was received from the United States of America, through their diplomatic mission to Chisinau. In his congratulation message, Ukrainian Premier Nikolai Azarov wished the Moldovan people peace, well-being and prosperity. The official considers that due to their common efforts, Moldova and Ukraine managed to achieve all the registered progresses in bilateral relations, whereas such collaboration is reciprocally advantageous for the two countries, and will bring to the creation of new prospects of interaction on the European integration path. Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk also sent cordial wishes for this occasion. In his message, the Polish Premier gladly praises the progress registered on the negotiations on the Agreement on the Free Trade Zone between Moldovan and the European Union, which, in his opinion, is an important step towards the country’s economic integration to the EU market, as well as an important part of the Association Agreement between Moldova and the EU. Slovenian Premier Janez Jansa congratulated Moldova with Independence Day and expressed his satisfaction with the cooperation between the two countries. The Slovenian Prime Minister is convinced that the economic and political Moldova-Slovenian relations will evolve in a spirit of friendship and partnership. In the congratulation message given by the United States Embassy, in the name of the USA, Barak Obama, and the people of the United States, we are told that the United States is a firm supporter of Moldova’s independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity. “We salute the recent effort of your country’s leaders in the resolution of the Transnistrian conflict”, the message specifies. Moldova celebrates its 21st anniversary since the signing of the Declaration of Independence on August 27.
