Three days remained until the match between Moldova and Sweden of the 2016 European Championship qualifying rounds. The national squad is confident of a positive result in the game against the Scandinavian team, IPN reports.
“It is important that all the players be fit and ready for the March 27 game. I also summoned Viorel Frunza, who scored three goals in the last stage for Dacia,” Moldova manager Alexandru Curteian told a news conference.
Moldova’s defense will face one of the best strikers of the world Zlatan Ibrahimovic. “We surely realize that he is a great player. We understand that it will be very hard to play against him, but we will make everything possible for this match not to be easy for our opponents,” said the captain of the national team Alexandru Epureanu.
Recently Moldova was beaten by Liechtenstein 0-1. “We will show that the match against Liechtenstein was only a game that should be forgotten. We will play to beat Sweden, but a draw will also do,” said halfback Alexandru Gatcan.
The match between Moldova and Sweden will be played at the Zimbru stadium on March 27, starting at 9:45pm. Moldova is the last in Group G with only one point, while Sweden ranks second, having by five points more.
