The men’s national beach rugby team of Moldova was successful also at the second stage of the European Beach Rugby Championship. After ranking second in Chisinau, Moldova finished third in Moscow, IPN reports.
Moldova didn’t manage to defeat again Russia in the semifinals. Russia won the competition after beating Italy 4-3. The score was also close in the small final in which Moldova won against Romania 5-4. The team trained by Igor Mișin and Alexandru Bejan in Moscow also defeated Bulgaria, Croatia, and Georgia.
The women’s national beach rugby team took the fifth place. In the last two matches, the team trained by Alexandru Șișcan demolished Croatia 8-1 and Bulgaria 8-3.
