The national women’s U-17 football team of Moldova lost the first match of the first qualifying round of the 2018 UEFA Women’s Under-17 Championship, IPN reports.

The team trained by Elena Subbotina was defeated in Chisinau by England 0-6. Melisa Filis scored a hat-trick, two goals being scored from penalties. Francesca Stables, Katie Robinson and Ruby Grant also scored in this match.

On September 22, Moldova plays against Iceland, while on September 25 against Azerbaijan. Both of the encounters will take place in Chisinau.
