Moldova at “Megavino” exhibit for first time
Moldova participated for the first time in the international wines
exhibition “Megavino” held in Brussels between October 22 and 25. The
exhibit brought together wine makers from over 20 countries. The
visitors were able to taste and buy wines, Info-Prim Neo reports,
quoting a communiqué from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European
Integration.
“The Moldovan wines can compete with the best wines on the Belgian
market, but are still not well-known in this country,” said Moldova’s
honorific consul in Belgium Ghislain Lenaers.
In the exhibition, Moldova was represented by “Chateau Vartely”,
“Vinaria Purcari”, “Cricova”, and “Vinaria Bostavan”.
This week, the Moldovan wines are promoted in the Czech capital of
Prague within the Moldovan Wines Week. throughout the week, there are
held presentations of wine products and wine tasting events. There will
be inaugurated two shopping centers for products made in Moldova – one
in Prague and the other one in Plzeni. Moldovan artists are giving
concerts.
