Moldova at 10th anniversary of admission to IFO

The Francophony days in Moldova will be held from March 20 to 31, Info-Prim Neo reports, according to a press release from the French Alliance in Moldova. The agenda of the Francophony days includes over 150 diverse events, coordinated by the French Alliance Moldova and University Agency of Francophony. Among these events there are the Francophone Film Festival, which will be held from March 22 to 31 at "Patria” and "Gaudeamus" movie theatres (on Thursday, March 22, at 6.30 pm, “Patria" cinema), as well as at “Patria” cinema in Cahul ( March 26), “Patria” cinema in Ungheni (March 27) and “Patria” in Balti (March 29). The entrance to the Festival is free. The tickets at “Patria” (Centru district) can be taken at the theatre’s box offices. The entrance to the films shown at “Gaudeamus” cinema is free, within the limits of the available seats. The events are organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, diplomatic Missions of the Francophone countries accredited in Chisinau, Embassy of France, French Alliance Moldova and University Agency of Francophony. The International Francophony Day and the 10th anniversary since Moldova joined the International Francophony Organisation (IFO) will be celebrated on March 20, 2007. Moldova was admitted to IFO at the Francophone Summit of the heads of state and government, held in Hanoi, 1997.
