The operators of water supply and sewerage services will take part in a series of training activities, experience exchange and working visits based on a memorandum of cooperation signed by the association Moldova Apa-Canal and the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) on February 25, IPN reports.
In the signing ceremony, Chairman of Moldova Apa-Canal’s Board Constantin Becciev said that GIZ will provide assistance in strengthening and developing the association’s institutional capacities. Under the memorandum, training seminars will be staged for representatives of the service providers working in this field. The GIZ will also provide technical, methodological and financial assistance in developing the capacities of the operators of water supply and sewerage services.
GIZ country director Philipp Johannsen said this cooperation will enable to improve the existing experience and to extend it afterward. This will contribute to the optimization of the public services in this field.
For the activities that are to be carried out this year, the GIZ will provide about €50,000 in financial support.
