Moldova and Romania in search of consensus at Economic Forum in Cahul

Cahul will host an Economic Forum themed “Crossborder Cooperation between Moldova and Romania” that aims to foster chiefly economic cooperation, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a communiqué from Romania’s Consulate General in Cahul. The Economic Forum “Crossborder Cooperation between Moldova and Romania” will facilitate the improvement of the relations between representatives of the Romanian and Moldovan businesses and the establishment of bilateral partnerships, it is said in the communiqué. Within the workshops of the Economic Forum, the participants will discuss subjects related to the partnerships between Moldova and Romania in accessing European funds, efficiently using the concessions provided by the EU for boosting trade and economic cooperation between Moldova and Romania. Another subject for discussion will be the investment climate in Moldova. The forum will be attended by delegations composed of officials of local administrations and representatives of businesses from the Romanian counties of Braila, Galati, Tulcea and Vaslui and from the Moldovan districts of Basarabeasca, Cahul, Cantemir, Cimişlia, Leova, Taraclia, and the Autonomous Territorial Unit of Gagauzia. The event will take place on October 15, organized by Romania’s Consulate General in Cahul in partnership with the Cahul-based Pro-Europe Center.
