The Republic of Moldova and France have reached a consensus on the final text of the Social Security Agreement. It was discussed during the second round of negotiations, which took place on January 21-23, IPN reports.
"With the conclusion of this agreement, the years worked in both countries will be taken into account when determining pensions and other social rights. We appreciate the continued cooperation with the French partners and look forward to finalizing the necessary procedures for the agreement to enter into force," said Cristina Jandic, deputy secretary-general of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection.
Insured persons will be able to benefit from old-age pensions, disability pensions due to general medical conditions, disability pensions due to ordinary illness and survivors' pensions.
The first negotiating session took place in November 2024 in Paris.
