Moldova and Czech Republic take joint steps to develop education

The Government of Moldova and the Government of the Czech Republic have signed an agreement of cooperation in education, culture, youth and sport, Info-Prim Neo reports. Czech Minister of Foreign Affairs Karel Schwarzenberg said the agreement is a very important document that will help carry out activities aimed at strengthening the dialogue between the parties. Under the agreement, highly-qualified specialists will be jointly prepared for economy, for the continuous development of the training and professional formation system. There will be organized student and teacher exchanges and promoted the joint participation in scientific and practical conferences, cultural activities, sports competitions, etc. The agreement envisions cooperation in implementing the Bologna Convention in order to create the common European education space and modernize the national education systems. There will be promoted inter-university, scientific and cultural cooperation and academic mobility on the basis of joint projects launched within the EU, UNESCO, the Council of Europe, and the Stability Pact for South Eastern Europe.
