Moldova and Belarus to enhance bilateral cooperation

The Ambassador of Belarus to Chisinau, Serghei Ciciuc, expressed his country's interest to develop trade and economic cooperation with Moldova. He met today with Prime Minister Valeriu Strelet, carrying a message from Andrei Kobyakov, the PM of Belarus, who favors deeper friendship and cooperation between the two countries, IPN learned from a press release of the government.

The two officials noted that bilateral dialogue was more active lately. They spoke about investments projects carried out in partnership with Belarus in Moldova, such as the modernization of the country's industrial park of agricultural machinery, the assembling of trolleybuses and the sale of building materials.

Moldova and Belarus first established diplomatic relations on November 19, 1992.
