The public TV channel Moldova 1 on April 19 rolled out the charity campaign “Offer a suffering-free day to them” that is intended to support the patients suffering from advanced cancer and other incurable diseases, IPN reports, quoting a communiqué from the public broadcaster Teleradio-Moldova.
The campaign will be launched within the program “Good evening”. Among the guests of honor will be Princess Marina Sturdza, who is the promoter of this campaign and the president of honor of the Medical-Social Philanthropic Foundation Angelus Moldova - HOSPICE Angelus, the campaign’s partner.
During several months, Moldova 1 will sensitize the public, presenting life stories about those who know the price of the lived days best of all. The invitees of the programs – specialists and patients of HOSPICE Angelus – will speak about the existing problems and will give useful advice to those who need it. The campaign will close with a televised donation event this December.
Teleradio-Moldova has carried out a number of social campaigns through Moldova 1 and Radio Moldova. In 2012, the public radio station staged the radio marathon “I want to have a family. Family for children, we for the family”, the radio campaign “Be good as Santa Christmas” in support of the mother of six Ina Pricop, the anti-smoking campaign “What you lose and what you gain when you light a cigarette”, and other events.
