“Moldova 1” airs short film about rights of sexual minorities

The public TV channel “Moldova 1” will broadcast a short movie about the rights of the sexual minorities. The decision was challenged by the public association “For Family”. The NGO earlier staged a protest in front of the television company, saying this film defies morality and violates flagrantly Moldova’s legislation. The Supervisory Board of the National Public Broadcaster “Teleradio-Moldova” accepted to air the short film, the Board’s chairman Eugeniu Rybka stated for Info-Prim Neo. The film “Sexual Minorities’ Rights” and another three movies about the human rights were produced by the South East Media Network of Germany in partnership with the Committee for the Freedom of the Press and the public association “Youth Generation”.
