The 18th international specialized exhibitions “Moldconstruct” opened at Moldexpo on March 20 and will continue until March 23. It includes a wide range of bulking materials, engineering systems and special technical means, IPN reports.

In the opening, Deputy Minister of Regional Development and Constriction Anatolie Zolotcov said the event became a tradition already and every year encourages all the players working in the field. The previous exhibitions showed that the visitors have an increased interest in homebuilding. The volume of homebuilding works last year rose by 2.5% on 2011.

The official said that the Ministry of Regional Development and Constriction is taking steps to ensure the successful completion of the apartment buildings erected in the country. It also endeavors to ensure socially deprived persons’ access to dwellings. An example is the continuation of the second stage of the Social Apartments Project. Following the signing of the framework lending agreement between Moldova and the Council of Europe Development Bank, there will be built about 700 apartments for 2,500 persons.

The deputy minister voiced hope that this year’s exhibit will provide new solutions and original ideas that will contribute to extending the economic and social cooperation between Moldova and other states.
