Moldcell gets 3 new licenses

The national ICT regulator ANRCETI has granted three new licenses to the mobile operator Moldcell allowing the company to provide terrestrial cellular mobile communication services. The new licenses are offered for a period of 15 years, effective from 6 November 2014, IPN reports.

ANRCETI said in a press release the licenses will enable Moldcell to develop its mobile broadband 4G network and enlarge its radio signal coverage.

The licenses were bought for a total of 25.5 million euros.

On August 1, another mobile operator, Orange Moldova, was also granted three new licenses, which came at the same price.

Until August 25, ANRCETI plans to grant two more new licenses, this time to Moldtelecom.
