The first online platform to promote cultural players, MoldArte.eu, was launched in Moldova. This will promote national artists at national and foreign levels, will ensure connection with international artists and will create a communication space for people of culture without frontiers, IPN reports, with reference to the Ministry of Culture.
The platform is a valuable database for cultural players that will synchronize their artistic and educational programs through an online agenda and forms part of the MoldArte project that envisions the organization of online debates and meetings, workshops and experience exchanges between participants in the Republic of Moldova and those from the partner countries, such as Romania, Austria and Germany.
Six research materials will be produced as part of the project. They will cover relevant subjects that will be debated publicly with invited specialists. The materials will form part of the platform’s media section and will be distributed as podcasts. The program will also include fact-finding visits by invited experts from the EU, sponsors, gallery owners and institution managers who will meet with experts from the Republic of Moldova to develop transfrontier projects.
“Owing to the activities carried out as part of the project, greater international visibility of the independent cultural sector of the Republic of Moldova will be ensured. We will be able to support the development of this sector and to make the cultural players heard in the relations with the authorities,” the president of the Romanian Cultural Institute Liviu Sebastian Jicman stated in the launch of the platform.
For his part, Minister of Culture Sergiu Prodan underlined the importance of the project for developing national culture. “Any investment in culture in the Republic of Moldova is an investment in the Romanian culture. Both the debates that will be held and the conclusions that will be reached matter for the Ministry of Culture. They will help us to synchronize the policies and mobilize the resources we have, to realize the artistic and cultural potential of our country, to connect it to the general human, European culture through the agency of the Romanian culture,” stated the official.
The MoldArte project is financed by the European Union National Institute for Culture through the European Spaces of Culture Project and is organized by the Romanian Cultural Institute in cooperation with the Goethe-Institute Bucharest, the Embassy of Austria in the Republic of Moldova and the Delegation of the European Union to the Republic of Moldova.
