The modernization of the Republic of Moldova by the European model is the only alternative for unionism. Two political forces now speak about this – the Party “Platform Dignity and Truth” and the Party “Action and Solidarity”. But they have yet to show by deeds that they are able to implement such a project. The Democratic Party, which has pro-European phraseology, is an anti-European, anti-national force, political analyst Alexei Tulbure stated in an interview for Radio Free Europe’s Moldovan Service, quoted by IPN.
About the other parties, Alexei Tulbure said that these are absolutely discredited. The Socialists’ model of developing the country is attractive only for a part of the population, but is absolutely inacceptable for the normal future of a European state. The Customs Union is a false agenda and unionism, in a way, is also a false agenda as these cannot be achieved.
According to the analyst, it should be admitted that the number of those who see a way out of the impasse in the union with Romania increases. Moldova can indeed become part of the EU if it joins Romania. But the problem is another one. Moldova will not change and will remain the same state that is unable to manage itself and to defend its rights. “So, we will become a depressive zone of Romania and of the EU. The positive effects we can feel after the union with Romania will fade away very quickly,” he stated
Alexei Tulbure said the union would be a solution if we do not find the potential inside to modernize and to manage ourselves. But this will not be a success story, but the consequence of a sociopolitical catastrophe on this territory. By union we will become part of the NATO and, in this regard, the problem of security will be solved at least theoretically. The pensions and salaries will be equaled, but only if the budget of the Romanian budget can cope.
According to Alexei Tulbure, if we can bring to power a political force that will renounce all the geopolitical stupidities and false agendas and will formulate clear tasks about the changes and reforms that should be ensured at domestic level and will engage society, the whole population in the process of building a state, we will manage to modernize the Republic of Moldova.
