The technical processes and modern technologies used in creating commemorative coins were discussed by a delegation of the National Bank of Moldova, headed by Governor Anca Dragu, on a visit to the State Mint of Romania.

According to the NBM, the purpose of the visit was to develop an effective partnership, with a particular focus on issuing commemorative and jubilee coins to promote the cultural heritage of Moldova.

“This visit provides us with an excellent opportunity to develop collaboration in the field of numismatic collections and represents an important step in strengthening bilateral relations. We aim to carry out valuable projects that reflect the richness of the cultural heritage of the Republic of Moldova and to promote these values ​​among the general public”, declared the governor Anca Dragu. Deputy Governor Constantin Şchendra, who supervises the Cash Operations Department, was part of the delegation.

The National Bank of Moldova is the only authority with the right to issue commemorative and anniversary coins in Moldova.
