Modern medical equipment for Floresti District Hospital bought with Japan’s support

The Floresti District Hospital was outfitted with high precision medical equipment purchased with Japanese funds within the Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects Program “Kusanone”, IPN reports.

The value of the donation exceeds US$97,500. The handover ceremony will take place on January 25, starting at twelve noon. The event will involve Japan’s Ambassador to Moldova Masanobu Yoshii.

Within the project, the medical institution was provided with an ultrasound scanner, a reflectometer, an automated hematology analyzer, a video fibrogastroscopic device, an Edan blood analyzer and an automated biochemistry analyzer. According to the administration of the hospital, the equipment will improve the quality and accuracy of medical examinations and will enable to increase the number of locally administered tests.

The Program “Kusanone” was launched in Moldova in 2008. In 2008-2016, this financed 38 similar initiatives with over US$3.3 million worth of grants.
