Students of the Agricultural Technical College of Svetlyi commune in the Autonomous Territorial Unit of Gagauzia will train using last-generation equipment purchased with budget funds. The ceremony to hand over the equipment was held on February 2, IPN reports.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture, Regional Development and Environment, the Government allocated 3.5million lei for buying the equipment, namely 17 computers, two reapers, a tractor, two sowers, a grain cleaning machine and electrical equipment.

The College in Svetlyi was founded in 1963 and is one of the latest agricultural education institutions in southern Moldova. This is currently attended by 533 students.
