Mocanu fears he's being followed

Politician Sergiu Mocanu, a former presidential adviser, has suspicions that he is being followed and wiretapped by the Center for Combating Corruption and Economic Crimes, Info-Prim Neo reports. Mocanu filed an inquiry with the Center, requesting its head, Viorel Chetraru, to answer if his suspicions were true. Mocanu also asked for a meeting with Chetraru. After the meeting, Mocanu told reporters that the head of the Anticorruption Center avoided to give straight answers. “I asked him where the Center had money from to employ officers to follow me”, said Mocanu. “This agency is an instrument of (businessman Vlad) Plahotniuc, because its officers do not care for the interests of the businessmen, but rather concern themselves with persecuting businesses so they get into the hands of a certain group”, he stated. Viorel Chetraru avoided to comment, but the Center's press service promised to post a statement on the agency's website.
