The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the Technical University of Moldova plans to set up a mobile veterinary clinic outfitted with modern diagnostic and therapeutic equipment. This way, in emergency situations or if animal owners are unable to go to an ordinary veterinary office, the mobile clinic can be called out to swiftly offer assistance, IPN reports.
The project was scheduled to be launched next week. The financial resources for the initiative are likely to be allocated in the framework of the Agriculture Governance, Growth and Resilience Investment (AGGRI) Project.
“It is important that this clinic achieve two major objectives: improvement of the practical skills of students and teachers; offering of therapy consultancy services to ensure animal health and welfare,” said Deputy Prime Minister Vladimir Bolea, Minister of Agriculture.
At present, the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine hosts a veterinary clinic for pets at which students daily perform by two-three surgeries and acquire practical skills.
